Maryland is a gorgeous state home to unique geographic features, a diverse population of people, and a rich history. The state of Maryland was also ranked the wealthiest state in the United States based on median household income, which totaled $80,776 (Leins, 2019)
However, even with this abundant wealth, the state, like any other, struggles with waste disparity. Waste disparity in Maryland is especially notable in lower-income communities and are falsely perceived as the ones that generate the most waste. This project highlights some of these differences between two Maryland communities. |
Thesis: The upper-income communities/people don't show environmental waste impact compared to lower-income communities/people |
